It Was Shocking, Just Shocking

OK, now that I'm looking at my photos from the weekend, I don't have as many as I'd like, but what are ya gonna do? So here it is....THIS is what happened to us! 15" of snow! My stroller is buried under here, guess I didn't need to haul that all the way. And this is auntie Jodi's ferns on her front porch....guess we won't see them until June.

So, what do ya do when you're snowed in for a blizzard? You go bowling and then you have a blizzard party. So that's what we did. It was my first time bowling (not to mention my first blizzard party), and I LOVED all the balls, but they were heavy. So the nice man running the alley found me a really light ball and put the bumpers up for me. Auntie Jodi found her own fun.

Then we went home and Mom made Marlboro Man's Favorite Sandwiches for everyone. I was so lucky to see my cousin Jarid and his cute girlfriend Ashley. The adults (if that's what you wanna call them) spent the evening playing cards, while I went home and hit the sack. Even though we were supposed to see GGW and GGE, and go to a baseball game, (obviously it was cancelled), we made the best of a 15" late April blizzard.

Just Wait Until Tomorrow

Hey everybody! I just wanted to give a quick shout hey to y'all! Its a busy day today getting back from our mini-vacation, I have some very interesting photos for you and a very interesting story. Those of you who don't live in SD will be SHOCKED when you see what happened to us, and it sounds like even some of you that live in SD will be pretty surprised. The kicker is, Daddy accidentally took the camera with him to work today so we'll have to wait for tomorrow to show the pics and tell the stories. So, until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

Dear Henry,

I'm amazed at how much you are speaking these days! Everyday, more and more words. You know what things are before I tell you and I don't remember teaching you most of them. You are so smart, and remember everything I tell you....days later. (Dad, I know you're reading this, Henry says "Grandpa sleeping" 100 times a day now after that conversation you had with him last week. He'll be so amazed to see you up and about this weekend!) This morning you looked at the pack and play in our room, still set up from this weekend, and you said "Palmer sleeping." I didn't even know you knew that's where he slept. Then you said, "Want to see him." That's a lot of words you just strung together. A new favorite line I like is "what's that noise?" I just don't know where you pick these things up.

You love playing ball. You say "catch!" Then you say "nice catch!" And your arm is really starting to show some progress. HA! Now that it has been nice enough to go outside, you want to be out there ALL the time. You HATE coming in the house. We're going to work on that back yard for ya this year buddy, so you have a nice place to throw and play trucks.

The best thing about you these days is that you are learning how to play a joke. You love to yell "squirrel, squirrel, squirrel!" And then you watch as everyone tries to find the squirrel you see, and then you fall over laughing because you tricked everyone. I really don't know how you learned that, I wouldn't even begin to know how to teach it, but you're definitely you're father's boy. Like there was ever a doubt.

Saturday night I got to sleep over at uncle Derek and auntie Chris' house while Mom and Dad went to a wedding. It was sweet, he has guitars! I love, love, love guitars. I also got ice cream, cheese puffs, pizza. fruit snacks....I mean, it was like paradise. I think they were trying to bribe me with food and music, but hey, let me be the first to tell you....it worked!

I know I haven't mentioned enough how much I love this zebra thingy. It has great lights, and music, and it even neighs and gallops. It put me in my happy place.

Thought I'd tell you today about a few new things I say. Today I told Mom that I need "change diaper". When Daddy gets a glass of water, I "want water too Daddy." And then, like today, when its time to go to school, and you ask if I'm ready, "YEAH!"

...Still Snowing

No school today! And its not even a snow day...well it is snowing, big shocker there, but Lini is in Florida, so I'm here with Mom again. We're having fun eating and playing, and trying to think of things to do because its snowing outside. Did I already mention that it is snowing, AGAIN. In April. And its spring. Just wanted to make sure you all understood.

Snow fishin'. Not ice fishin'. This photo was from a couple weeks ago, the snow you see here has melted, and actually we were hit again and now all that snow is gone too! But I wanted to share a few of these photos with you. Mom even came out and walked through some puddles and snow piles with me. I can't believe she let me put these pictures of her on the internet, with her camo pants, and Daddy's hat. She could have zipped her boots for the occasion though, jeez.

Early Spring BBQ

Last Saturday night, cute cousin Kyle invited us over to his house for a BBQ with all his friends. It was kind of chilly, mostly windy, but we were all troopers. Later in the night we moved out to the bon fire. Its was my first fire, and I still smell like burning wood. It was really fun, but Daddy keeps having nightmares that I am falling in the fire. But he doesn't realize that I steer clear of anything I may deem "hot!" Anyway, I had a great time at the party, and loved Kyle's friends, and Mom's cheezy potatoes were such a hit they might invite us back! (Thanks Gammy!)

I'm Hooked

I think I'm addicted. Yesterday was opening day for baseball. As soon as we turned it on, I was hooked. I mean come on, there's a ball, and they throw it. And there are bats and they hit the balls with them. And then there's running, and clapping, and cheering. What more could a kid ask for?
