They're Responsible AND Let Me Have Sugar

I'm taking the easy out of blogging today, and I'm going to direct you over to this blog, for a review, photos, and even a couple of videos of my weekend. I'm telling you, being two is GREAT! Seems I get to do so many more things. Tune into tomorrow for a glimpse of what my parents did last weekend while I was busy swimming and peek-a-booing. Special thank you for Brookie, Jerrid, and Miss Kato for putting up with me for the weekend, can't wait until my parents leave AGAIN!

Get out of the sack and get to work,

PS - Shout outs to Miss Frannie, happy birthday! I can't believe you're 8! You're so old. And also a shout out to my uncle Larry, happy birthday yesterday...I won't talk about how old you are....but hope you had a great day full of disc golf!

Two Year Check Up

In spite of my look of concern and the band aid on my finger, I'm fine. Yesterday I had my two year check up, and per usual, I passed with flying colors. I had to get one shot (ouch!) and they finger pricked me to test for lead. I was pretty mad about that one. They had to fill a small vile with my blood by dripping it from my finger. After a bit, I became intrigued by the whole thing, and it was kinda cool.

Here's what's new: I'm off whole milk and on to 2% or 1%. Dr. said I can stay in my crib as long as I want to. She also said I don't have to start potty training until I'm 2 1/2, and then if it seems I'm not interested, then I can wait until I'm 3. Speaking of 3, that's the next time the Dr. wants to see me. Can you believe someone would entrust me to my parents for a whole year - UNSUPERVISED? Pray for me.

The stats you've all been waiting for:

  • Weight - 33lbs 4oz - 94%
  • Height - 36" - 87%
  • Head - 49.8cm - 79%

Seems I have gotten much taller, and head is coming down a bit too. Overall this Dr. visit was much more pleasant than the last few. I cooperated with the stethoscope and the things that look in my ears and eyes. Well, it doesn't hurt that Dr. Goel is pretty easy on the eyes herself.

Fair Game

On Sunday Mom, Dad, me, Patrick, and his mom, Molly, went to the Hennepin County Fair! This was amazing, and Patrick and I had just the best time. I really like spending time with Patrick, he's a good dude. We did all kinds of things. Stuff our parents never thought we'd do!

We started out seeing the world's smallest horse, and trust me, this was one tiny pony. Then I headed over to the see the fire trucks. (You know me and steering wheels.) After I was dragged away from the big trucks, we went to the petting zoo. There were all kinds of animals in there, all of which I didn't pet. But we did get some feed and fed a few goats.

What's a trip to the fair without eating a little. So Dad and Molly decided to start with fresh squeezed lemonade. They each went to a different vendor and had a "Lemonade Off." Sounds like Daddy's won. By the way, when do you think Dippin' Dots will stop being the ice cream of the future? Then of course we got corn dogs, french fries, and mini donuts. The Mid-western lunch of champions. Although I think Mom, Dad, and Molly would've rather been here.

After we were fully full, Patrick and I went on a few rides. I can't believe I'm tall enough! We started out driving Jeeps, then flew around in a UFO, then down the giant slide, and back to the Jeeps. Of course the Jeeps were our favorite, and Patrick proved to be a very safe driver. The carousel was calling our name next. Then we got a little creeped out by a talking pig, but he was pretty cool. No day would be complete without a ride on a train. Choo choo! And then we finished off the day with a little 4-wheelin'!

I can't believe how much fun I'm having in my second year. Everyday is an adventure. Life is good!

Look before you leap,
HAJ

PS - Shout out to my main man Jerrid! We shared a birthday on Saturday, but we weren't able to be together. Don't feel too bad for him, his lovely wife took him to Yankee Stadium. Why didn't I get to go? And when do I get to go fishing?

The Beginning Of Year Numero Dos

Being two is great! I can't even believe how great it is. Yesterday was so fun and it was awesome to have my pals all come over to my house for a party! We had the best time! Mom and Dad got me a new swimming pool, so we played in that since it was so hot outside and we all got squirt gun and water toys to play with too.

After doing that for awhile we went to the porch to eat dinner. We had Bagel Bites, french fries, and fruit salad. Mitchell and Andrew got a little crazy with the food. Mom said she's going to bring that picture back out when they graduate from high school, just to embarrass them. For dessert we had cake and ice cream. Everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, but I was very embarrassed and hid my head. I just don't like all that attention.

I quickly recovered when it came time to open presents. I got so many presents, and I haven't even been that good. I got all kinds of stuff including a new bike (!) and a basketball hoop! I also got a cool dragon, a crazy sprinkler we had fun running through, and a really cool adventure backpack to carry all my gear in while I ride my bike (!). I had to take a break a few times and resume opening presents where I got bubbles, and clothes, and LEGOS! After presents we resumed swimming. I think all the kids had a fun, fun, fun time. I even told Mom is was my best birthday party ever!

We were all pretty pooped out by the end of the day. I'm really looking forward to what the rest of my second year will bring. Be sure to tune in and be a part of the adventure. Thank you all for the presents and birthday wishes. Its just great to know that you all love me and I love you!

Hang loose,

Heeeerrre's Nini!

I know I talk about school all the time and going to Lini's house. For the record, now that I can form my own words, I call her Nini. So when I refer to Nini, you know I'm talking about Lini. Anyway, yesterday Brookie put some pictures up of her family, and I blatantly stole a few of them. (Did you know Brookie is Nini's niece?) So, here's the ever famous, ever beautiful, one of my favorite people, Nini! Next to her is her husband Ron. He comes home for lunch everyday and I call him Papa and talk his ear off. Oh, and I thought I'd throw in this picture of Blossom, Nini's dog. The only dog in the universe that I do not fear. How could you?

Summer Is Here

Yesterday I got to see my great auntie Shally, great uncle Dick, and cousin Alex. They were in town visiting their friends Becky and Chuck, and so we went to visit all of them. It was probably again, one of the best days of my life. Ya see, we drove to their house in Miss Barbara Blue, and then guess what....they have a POOL! A POOL! I love pools! I love swimming! I spent all afternoon swimming. Then, as if that's not enough, they grilled us hamburgers and hot dogs and gave me FULL SUGAR POP! I had the orange flavored; you can tell from my mustache above. Which brings me to the fact that I fell asleep in the car (!) on the drive home, then Mom put me to bed when we got home, and I didn't get up until 7 this morning. What? Swimming wears me out, I'm human!

So the moral of the story is, I just want to thank all those guys for inviting us, and feeding us, and letting me play in their pool, and I'm sorry if all the orange pop I spilled brings an infestation of ants.

Favorite Of All Time

Happy Father's Day to my daddy, who just happens to be the best and my favorite daddy in the history of daddys. I would also like to wish Happy Father's Day to all of my grandpas, and great grandpa's, and to all of the the other daddys out there. You're some one's favorite daddy too!

Love, HAJ

Dying Laughing

Since the picture of me yesterday was of me crying, I though today I'd show you a picture of me crying again, but this time its because I'm laughing so hard! I almost die laughing whenever Daddy does this. I want him to stop, but then I want him to keep doing it. I just don't know what I want, but I sure know its fun!

There is no place like home,

Look Out Michael Phelps

This is what I look like when I have to get out of the swimming pool! I think I got a little of my mama in me because I love to swim. I started out in the zero depth pool with all the other little kids. But then daddy took me over to the big pool with the big kids. Dad let me sit on the steps for awhile, and then I got real brave and decided I could just swim out to him, and I like to lay on my back in the water too. It kind of freaked Dad out, and now Mom is looking into signing me up for lessons! Bring 'em on!

Beautiful Girls

So, how do I look? I'm trying to really clean up my act for school today. There's a new girl there, named Elliot, who is so pretty. She came last summer too with her older sister Georgie. At the time I was really hooked on Georgie, but something happened over the school year, and now I'm all about Elliot. You know the type, darker skin, dark hair, and the most beautiful blue eyes you ever did see. I call dibs on this one guys, don't even think about it.

Do whatever it takes to get the job done,
HAJ

PS - Speaking of beautiful girls, here's a shout out to Molly (not my fish). Happy birthday and congrats on still being younger than my parents. Love you!

Exteriors Company

I know this is a funny picture, but Mom thought it was cute and we don't have another one to put up for today. Anyway, its been kind of weird around the house lately. Even though The Cousins were here last week, even beyond that its been different. Ever since two weeks ago when that big hail storm hit us, Daddy spottings have been few and far between. He's just swamped with people calling wanting to get their roofs fixed. He leaves the house early in the morning, and then gets home right before I have to go to bed. I'm getting a little jipped on my Daddy time. I'm shouldn't complaining though, only because all of that just means that Mom and I get new shoes! And, especially because I have a birthday coming up....I'm hoping for a new bike!

I Miss Them Already

Ok, I'm back. Sorry about the break, but we were so busy with the cousins, and after they left yesterday we spent the day recovering! I don't know where to start so, I'll start at the beginning!

On our first day we went to the zoo! It was great! While Presley and Cody were riding the lions, LC helped me chase down the fish in the aquarium. We also saw tigers sleeping, and camels, and prairie dogs. And with all of those neat things, the carts were my favorite part of the zoo! At least I'm consistent. Anything with a steering wheel. Of course we had to take a storm break and get out of the hail later that afternoon. Seems to be a trend lately.

The next day we went swimming at The Cousins' hotel, and then mom and auntie Niki took us to the party store to decorate for the party we would be having the next day. We got to pick anything we wanted that had to do with horse racing and my birthday! We had a blast and mom let us decorate the whole basement!

On Saturday we went swimming again, had lunch, and everyone came over to visit my cousins...(oh and probably auntie Niki and uncle Larry too.) I had the best time and loved having my cousins here. Special shout out to them, and I already can't wait to see them again!

Monkey around,

Houston Invasion

Hey guys! How are you doing on this fine Wednesday? I'm doing well, thanks for asking. Actually, I'm doing exceptionally well today. Guess why. Give up? My cousins are coming, my cousins are coming! That's right! LC, Presley, and Cody are coming to visit today, and they're staying all weekend! I'm just sure we're going to be having to much fun, and there will be so much to tell you about. Don't miss a thing!

My New Friend

Daddy bought me a new fish! I love this fish and could watch it swim forever. This fish was originally owned by another family, who thought this was a girl fish and named it Gumdrop. Turns out she's a he, and he's not real friendly to other fish, so the family returned him to the store. Daddy had to have him, and he renamed him - Molly Gumdrop. (MV -please direct all hate mail to my dad.)

Hail Of a Storm

What a day! Yesterday was jam packed, exciting, and great! So many things...where do I begin? The day started off with Mom and Dad taking me to the lake, on the boat, for the first time this year. I had a great time, I loved it. I wore my life jacket with relatively no complaints. We ate lunch and cruised around a bit. AND, we got to ride in Miss Barbara Blue on the way there!

Afterwards I went home to take a nice long nap, only to be awoken by Daddy because there was a storm a'headin' our way. It looked like it was going to miss us, but it hit us right in the tomato! It hailed like crazy! It looked like it snowed here the last day of May! Daddy had to shovel off the deck (there's still some on the deck this morning, that hasn't melted!). He made a hail-ball about the size of my head. The hail ranged from golf ball to pea sized, and we escaped with no damage. Except for the cucumbers and tomatoes (which we need to replace today.) There was a really cool fog that filled the streets afterwards too.

After all the excited, and after the skies cleared, we headed to Brooke and Jerrid's for a bonfire party. P-man was there too! We played all night. After we got there, Mom realized she forgot my Pack-n-Play, which put a damper on the night. That means we have to go home early. But I surprised everyone when Brookie made me a nest bed on the floor with blankets and pillows and stuffed animals....and I fell asleep. Am I amazing or what?
