Then came last week. The week leading up to class, I talked and talked about how much I love gymnastics and how I was so excited to go and jump and run! But as soon as we got to class, I became a shell of the boy that I am. While the kids played, I didn't want to. While the kids ran around, there was no way I would join them. While the kids jumped, I just didn't feel like participating (see the little kid laying on the mat to the left.)
We'll see how this week goes. Mom is making Daddy take me this time...she's pullin' out the big guns.

Henry...I have two kids that were just like that at gymnastics (and don't tell anyone, but I'm kind of like that myself). One of my Henry's pre-school teachers was a lot like your mommy and daddy and so his other pre-school teacher (who is a lot like me) gave me a book to read called "The Introvert Advantage". Let me know if your mom wants to read it...it explains some pretty cool things. Hang in there with gymnastics...one day you'll be bouncing on your own trampoline and your parents will wonder why they ever introduced you to such crazy things!
ReplyDeleteOh man, see these smart relatives of mine have all the secrets.
ReplyDeleteOK, off topic here - but could there be a cuter pregnant person than the one in the background of your pictures?? Just couldn't help commenting on it. Henry, I can't wait to see you do a somersault! Love, Molly
