Bon Voyage!

Remember the good times we used to have together? You know, times like this, or this, or even this. Well, sadly and happily those days are over. Check it out....my new boat bed! I even have a life preserver pillow! Grandpa and Daddy took apart my baby crib, and then put together my new big boy bed! I was a little sad about it at first, but now I love my new bed. I love to make Daddy crawl in with me, and then I tuck him in, kiss him on the forehead, and tell him stories about my day. I have slept through the night each night so far, and I don't get out of bed until Mom and Dad say its OK. Something that is really helping me get through the transition, is that Little Baby E is going to be using my crib, and I love that I can pass that down to the little peanut. I just love family tradition.

New Location

If you look very closely, that's me taking a little snoozer on the couch. Mom did a little experiment and let me take a nap on the couch. Not sure its a good idea or not, but she thinks maybe I should learn to sleep other places besides my bed. Well, it worked. I actually slept for 2.5 hours while Mom was right in the kitchen futzing around. And best of all, I don't throw that "I don't wanna take a nap" fit this way!

Bottoms Up

Just because I'm two now, and a big boy (I'll be the first to tell you that I am NOT a baby), doesn't mean I don't like to still sleep with my bottom in the air. Because I do, and I love it.

Out Like a Lion

Couple things...I got in the shower this morning and everything was fine. Then I get out of the shower, and its blizzarding. Well, not blizzarding, YET. Again another 8" of snow expected. This'll put hair on our chest. That which does not kill us, makes us stronger. March - get outta here like a lion.

Next...a miracle happened last week, on our way home from our quick SD tour. I fell asleep in the car for the drive home. This is a big deal guys. I used to sleep, only briefly, when I was really little and had to face backward in my car seat. Ever since I've been flipped forward, there's been no, none, absolutely zero zzzz's. Remember last summer when Mom and I went to KC? Seven hour road trip...yeah...no sleeping. I guess it takes visiting with family for two days, great hash browns, rides on a zebra, and a couple pieces of peach pie.....and there you have it.

I've seen better looking legs on a table.

Good morning?! Good morning?! What's so good about it? I'm staying in bed all day, with my trusty pal Bob. So don't even try to get me up, because I'm not going to play with you today.

Dad Needs a Hobby

Did you ever wonder what I look like when I sleep? Well, my dad did the other night. He took shots of me from every angle. How about this one? Or this one? Here's a personal favorite. How about this one, stretching and sucking on my fingers? Butt in the air. Through the slats on my bed. All the while here's Mom, not paying attention to the flashing camera going on in my bedroom at 11 o'clock at night.

The Blur

You can't stop me, you can't stop me! You can only hope to contain me. Look fast, cuz you don't wanna miss the BLUR!

Well, all's good here on the home front. Although I did have a nightmare last night and woke up crying at like 9, but as soon as I saw my papa, I felt much better. Whew. I just thought that a giant sippy cup was going to suck the life out of ME, and I tried to scream but nothing came out and I tried to run but it felt like my arms and legs weighed a thousand pounds, and *pant, pant, pant*, everything is fine now.

We're planning a short weekender trip to SD this weekend. Sounds like we're in for another snow storm though, but should be clearing up by Friday. I hope so. I have this urge to hit the road. Feel the wind in my hair. Explore new horizons. Eat at Nick's Hamburger Shop.

Fighting Fish

One sock on, one sock off - let's call the whole thing off. Dad thinks my face looks like the fish on my shirt in this pic. I'm cool with it.

This morning I woke up at 5:30 and started talking. Mom heard me but ignored me. I was in full scream by 6:15, so she finally talked Dad into coming to get me up. Turns out I was crammed into the corner of my crib. I'm getting to be a good scoocher and spinner, so sometimes I get myself in these predicaments. Everything worked out though. They got me up, fed me, and then I fell back asleep for about an hour. I missed my morning play time with Mom before work, but today is our Friday and we can play all day tomorrow if we wanna.

I would like to send a shout out to my cousins Annie & Jasper. Their Daddy had to go to TX yesterday for his new job, and they probably won't see him for like, two or more weeks. I know they're sad and I'm sad too. You guys can come play with me anytime you want.

Oh - and I'd like to send another shout out to my Gammy. She had her last round of chemo yesterday!! YAY!!! One more thing to check off the list! I know you probably don't feel good today, but just know that part is over and you're one step closer to ending this thing. I love you Gammy.

Hat Trick

Hey y'all! I just love this picture of me and my Gammy! I had to share it with you all!! Now that I think about it - I guess I really am a hat kind of guy.

Yesterday I threw Mom & Dad for a little loop, when after about 2 hours after they put me to bed for the night, I woke up screaming. I think maybe I had a bad dream or accidentally turned my music on in my room and it scared me! I was really freaked out for a little bit, but Mom came and hugged me and I fell right back asleep. I haven't woken up after they've put me to bed in so long, they didn't know what to do with me. We were all shocked.

Not much else going on, I'm at Darlene's again today. Yesterday Dad forgot to tell her I rolled over, so I'm sure today will be a day full of showing that new trick off to all of my friends.

Old School, New School

Sorry I missed yesterday, I am still sick. I actually woke up at 1am this morning all in a fuss. I was having trouble breathing and just decided that I needed a little love from my Mama in the middle of the night. I totally threw her for a loop - since that's the first time I've woken up in the middle of the night since week 6! It took her a minute or two to compute what was happening. But she came and hugged me and fed me a little, and you know how it is....nothing's better than a mama's lovin' when you're not feeling well.

Today is yet another big day for me. I'm starting a new daycare and I'm a little nervous. I hope they like me and I'll try to make a good first impression. I hate starting out my time with them with a cold, but what are ya gonna do? My new teacher's name is Darlene and I'll be at her house, as opposed to a center like my old school. I'll get you the low down on the new place tomorrow.
