Tornado Tourney 2009

This year's bocce tournament (our 12th annual!), was quite the hum-dinger! It ended up being on one of, if not THE hottest day of the year. And everybody who is anybody was there! We even had so many people, that we needed a Biffy this year. The heat didn't seem to keep the crowds away, and don't worry, we all stayed hydrated. At least until the tornado hit. Please note that during this time I was with my cousins playing down stairs, and my mom and Auntie Gina were ready to grab us and throw us under the pool table.

Knockin' Balls

Over the weekend was the 11th annual Bocce Ball Tournament. It was a great success, and held at a new location this year. It was actually a bocce ball player's dream. Here's a look at the Grouchy Dog where everyone hung out between matches. Here's the back 40. Here's where you could kick back and relax. Here's where you could just be a kid. This is where I would've rather been all day. At least they let me help keep score.

Mom and Willie won the tourney, and poor Daddy...still win less, but he doesn't seem to mind. A special thank you to Willie and Kimberli for letting us play on the Grouchy Dog's back 40. It was such a blast, and I'm sorry I went number 2 while napping in George's room. Hopefully its aired out by now. Time Goes Too Quickly

This weekend was a whirlwind of craziness. Auntie Gina & Uncle Addison drove up from Houston. Drove, I know, I don't envy them. Then on Saturday we had our 10th ANNUAL, yes 10th, bocce ball tourney. That was crazy! I want to send a special thanks out to Frannie and Morgan for taking care of me that day while my parents we inaccessible. Martina and Val ended up with the championship. No one's sure how Martina ended up there, word on the street is she had her fair share of the beers that were served. She's a funny one.

The sad part is Gina & Add got up and left right away yesterday. Time goes too fast. They needed to stay longer or just move back. That would be the easiest for everyone, I'm sure. So, back to the usual grind today. Seems like the whole weekend was just a blink. I hate when that happens.
