Sonic Boom?

One of my mom's favorite restaurants "down south" is Sonic. Nothing can hold a candle to her all time favorite, Chik-Fil-A, but Sonic is second. Anyway, they just opened a couple of Sonic's here in the Twin Cities, the closest one is 15 miles from our house. So of course we hopped in the car and headed out.

All of my family and friends in TX, OK, and KS are going to love this. When we pulled up we saw this. I mean there were cops and security guards everywhere. We thought since this was during the RNC maybe the President needed a burger and some tots like the rest of us. We finally found our way in, around tons of police line tape. We asked one of the guards what was going on, and they said that it gets pretty busy around here, and they're there to direct traffic. What? At a burger joint? I mean, they have the best cherry-lime aid ever, but come on.

Weighed in the balance and found wanting,
HAJ

THAT is too funny. I guess though. Down here a Sonic is as frequent as a Starbucks so the only police we see are the ones controlling the hoodlums in the area. HAAHAAAAAA!

Love the 'tots,
Auntie Gina

Sonic is awesome! We have one about 30 min. away (thankfully not too close by or we would be there all the time)
What can you say about a place that has figured out a way to put just about EVERYTHING on texas toast?!

The one that is about 1/2 mile from our house has 3 cops on duty directing traffic for the first 6 weeks. I didn't think the traffic was that bad, but maybe with them directing it that's keeping it under control. Who would have guessed!?
