Halloween Revealed

Turns out, Daddy took a couple pictures of me and my pals at our Halloween party at school last week. I'm not saying I kept this information from Mom, but she also didn't ask. Its a two way street people. I wasn't exactly thrilled with wearing this costume, as you can see. But check out these crazy kids!

Froggy Witches

Thank you Gammy and Gpa Jack for the singing Witchy Frogs! I love them, and listen to them all the time. I also took them to school to show all my friends. Thanks again for thinking of me, and I'll see you in a couple weeks! Wahoo!

Hallow-What? Who? Where? Why?

Well, Halloween was kind of a bust for me this year. I just wasn't interested at all. And quite frankly, its just down right scary. I mean, have you seen all those pirates and ghosts running around out there? Not me, man. I'm staying far, far away from that whole deal. Maybe next year.

That'll turn your head,
HAJ

PS - Since I wouldn't put my costume on, we don't have pictures to share. But Mom is still trying to get me to put it on, so maybe one day...if you're lucky...

Not So Much Treating

My first Halloween, trick or treating all by myself. Well, Mom and Dad came with me, and I even recruited Ethan to play the big brother role, and teach me the tricks of the trade. The first house we went to, I was a little shy but very happy to take the candy and say thank you. The next house I didn't even want to walk up to the door. The next one I walked to the door, but I didn't want to carry my candy bucket anymore. Seems like Ethan didn't have time to wait for me, he was very busy. About the time I noticed this, and then one of the other neighbor kids scared me, I was DONE. Back in the house, shoes off, coat off, didn't want any candy (in fact left my candy bucket at the neighbors), and was watching a movie. The "adults" were outside having a good old fashioned garage party (since it was 60 degrees). Mom wants you to check out Wayne's costume, he's the one in white.

So, I ended up with about 4 pieces of candy, which is fine for me. Maybe next year I'll get what all the fuss is about, but for now I'd rather watch a horsey racing movie than have to walk around the neighborhood begging for candy and being scared out of my wits.

Too close for comfort,

Tricking and Treating

Happy Halloween all! Look at me! I'm an Old Time Golfer! Did you see my hat? I can't wait to get out there and get me some CANDY! I'm not really sure what this is all about, but Mom is pretty sure it'll only take a house or two to get me going. Do you think I look like Payne Stewart? Have a great day everyone, and I hope you all gain at least 5lbs in sugary sweetness.

Halloween Treats, That Look a Bit Trickey

We made Halloween cookies for me to take to school. As I said when Daddy told me that I was bringing these treats for the kids, "They're gonna love it!" We made witches, pumpkins, cats, and a haunted house from these cut outs that Brookie got for me. First we made the dough and cut out the shapes. Then popped them in the oven. We frosted them with all kinds of different colors. After that, and here's the cool part, these are special 3-D cookies that stand up when they're assembled. Some stood up perfectly, while others...not so much. They were a big hit and a lot of work. Good thing Halloween only comes once a year...but here comes Thanksgiving. I gotta go ask Mom if we can do turkey cookies next!

Free Candy!

What an amazing night! I just had the BEST time, I think maybe so far in my life. Did you know that when you knock on people's doors they give you candy? And, almost better than that, all kinds of fun kids come to your house and you can give them candy? It was so great.

Mom and Dad took me to a few houses around the neighborhood. That picture is of me at our neighbor's house. Check out all the loot I got. I really like carrying my candy bucket around. Mom and Dad rang the door bell and hid, and I just stood there with my bucket and people gave me candy!? Mom said this is the one night a year I can have candy for dinner.

The hardest part of the night was watching all the kids leave and go play and run around outside. I wanted to go with them so bad. Every time they left, I cried. But Mom said maybe next year I can run around with the kids for awhile. Here's hopin'.

We All Knew He Was Alive Somewhere

Happy Halloween everybody! I decided to dress up as The King himself! The King of Rock & Roll! Here's a better look at my costume, and you may notice the flaming guitars on my shoes. They're new by the way. So I celebrated with the "new shoe dance", which is what everyone in my family does when we get new shoes.

Last night we had a pre-Halloween and tried on my costume and watched The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Mom and Dad couldn't believe how I sat there through the whole show and just watched it. I was really rooting for Linus to see the Great Pumpkin. Next year I'm going to sit out in the pumpkin patch with him and wait.

Boo!

Caramel Apples

My gammy sent me caramel apples to start the celebration of Halloween. I've never had a caramel apple before, so I was a bit leery. And they were the most beautiful apples ever, so I didn't want to ruin them. Daddy cut one up, and gave it to me. I didn't want it, but then I took a bite of the yummy sweet, caramely, chocolaty goodness....mmmmmmm....it was so gooooooood!

My Dad Used to Work at Red Lobster

Ok - so yesterday was our Halloween party at school. So, I of course, put on my costume, thinking I was all that, and headed out the door. Come to find out NO ONE else in my infant room dressed up!! They are SO boring! But anyway, I was the biggest hit in class and everyone wanted their picture taken with me! It was so fun!

Tonight I'm just going trick or treating to a few of our new neighbors, and we have some friends coming over too. I hope I get some more chocolate!

I hope you all have a great Halloween, and send me any left over candy!!
