Confessions Of a Lazy Blogger

I know, I know...I've been slackin' a bit on my blogging. Its hard to come up with ideas. I'm uninspired. Its that time of year where its spring, but not quite, and I feel like we are living everyday for the next day because maybe THEN we can go outside and play. But no, not tomorrow. Supposed to blizzard. Guess March will be going out like a lion this year. But the good news is, Wednesday starts April...only the greatest month of the whole year. (My mom made me write that last sentence.) So just hang on a couple days for the rebirth of the seasons to start...flowers blooms, grass turns green, and baby geese are born to poop all over our yard. Ahhh, spring time.

Full Back In Training

I couldn't find any of that black make-up stuff that football players put under their eyes to help block the glare of the sun, so I just used green beans. Do you think the Vikings are hiring? Lord knows they need the help. I couldn't be any worse than what they have now.

Today seems to be a rainy, lazy Sunday. Daddy went fishing, granted its sprinkling not storming. I'm not sure what's on tap for today, but I have a feeling it will involve a lot of lounging on the sofa. I can hear it calling my name...

A dog day afternoon,

And the Band Played On

Yesterday at school, I continued to work on my crawling and when Mom came to pick me up I went over to a chair and pulled myself up to my knees. Not standing yet, but getting closer and closer. I am really good at moving around, whether it be by rolling or by scooting. I seem to make it to all corners of a room. As you can see, Mom thought her shoes were out of my reachable area, but no way! My parents are in for a rude awakening.

On the way home from school, it started pouring rain like cats and dogs! I mean buckets and sheets of rain were coming down like crazy. It was kind of a bummer because the local high school marching band was supposed to be practicing on our street, but they got rained out. I guess they pick one graduating senior every year, and for one day they march up and down that street and then have a big party. They played for a little bit, but then finally stopped. I think the tuba sucked in about a tuba's worth of rain and they had to called it quits. So we went in the house and had a tickle fest.

I'm Your Next Idol

Well today has started out as a bit of a bummer. Gammy & G-pa were supposed to be here at 10:30, but their flight was cancelled, so now they aren't getting here until like 6 or something. We just couldn't be more bummed out, we lost a whole day! No sense getting all in a huff, but we're just bummed.

Did you guys watch American Idol last night? Jordin Sparks won, and I still think her dad, the ex-NBA star pulled some strings. I'm more of a Blake guy, but maybe if I woulda voted things would have been different. What do they say.....if you don't vote you can't complain. Sure. At least we got to see Smokey and there was an actual sighting of Ruben. Where has this guy been? He got first place and everything, but you never hear a thing from him.

Oh my gosh, I almost for to tell you! Yesterday day I lived through my first tornado. OK it wasn't a tornado, they're calling it a "down spout", but we had to truck our butts to the basement at school! Thank goodness Lini makes us do tornado drills all the time so we all knew exactly what to do. There were tons of trees down and I even saw a trailer flipped over on its top, wheels up. Its was very scary, but thanks to the smart thinking of my Lini, we all survived. Shhhh - don't tell G-ma E what happened. You know how she is about storms.

It just goes to show,

Boy On a Hill

The weather in Minnesota has turned awful. AWFULLY NICE! HA! We played outside all day yesterday. When you play hard, you also rest hard. I left it all on the field. And guess what else? We put the boat in the water last night! I know, right? That can only mean one thing....we're going boating! Yes, today will be my first time since I was two months old...I didn't really get it back then. I'm really looking forward to it and will let you know how it goes.

After dropping the boat off last night, we went out to dinner. Shocker, I know. But this is another one of the great things about living in Minnesota. It makes eating outside such a treat!

Well, we're off to the lake. Hope you all enjoy this great April day!

Rise and shine,

Love Is In the Air

Hi all! Happy Monday! We're all still coming off the birthday buzz of last week. The goal of this week is to take it EASY. Mom's actually going to cook dinner this week, and we're going to go for walks, and start to be healthy individuals. The weather is getting so nice finally, that its inspiring to get out in the world and do something.

To the best of my ability,
HAJ

PS - Speaking of inspiring, check out the latest entry in Emily Jane if you want to read something really great and romantic and a bit nauseating. Congratulations Em! We are so happy for you!
