Another Crazy Pair

This past weekend, the other set of "crazies" from Texas came to visit us: Annie and Jasper! We had the best weekend, and it was so sad to see them go. It was great to play with them all day long. We spent the days playing, and the evenings having movie night and eating popcorn. It was great too because Patrick came over everyday too! More on the weekend tomorrow!

The Crazies

We just got off of another great weekend with my cousins Presley and Cody, aunt Niki and uncle Larry, and Gammy from Texas. We had a great time and during their stay, my cousin Presley celebrated his 8th birthday. He really wanted to go fishing so we rented him a pontoon and spent the day at the lake. It was a success because everyone caught a fish! Presley caught the first one, then Aunt Niki, then Cody, then Daddy, and then uncle Larry. Then we went out for burgers and came home to eat his disc golf birthday cake that Mama made for him.

We had a great day, and Presley said he had the best birthday. I think Cody really liked it too.

True Ar-Tist

How's this for a real "hip" and "arty" photograph? Well, not that great, especially when you take a look at my cousin's photography. You should check it out...I posted his blog to the right...its call Bryan Wingen. He has some amazing photography, and he's a real talent. Who knew that kind of brilliance ran in our family?

Night Swimming

The really great thing about visiting my cousins in Texas is the fact that you can go swimming. In January. Outside. It just really doesn't get much better than that. We all spent a whole afternoon and evening swimming together. Jasper didn't feel like swimming, but he may as well have because he was drenched! Annie always loves swimming too.

Check out this shot of me catching air! And Daddy is always there to catch me! I like to tell Mommy that I swim like a fish like Michael Phelps (only with more butt crack)!

Remembering The Alamo

I thought I better share a few of my favorite photos from our trip to Texas over New Years. We spent a few days in Dallas, then a few days in Houston with the cousins, and then a few more days in Dallas. We got to see a lot more of Texas again this time, and the weather was amazing. Although Mom wasn't used to the heat, so she spent the whole vacation sweating.

We went to Frisco, TX to the Holiday Festival, and Dad bought me some pickle flavored popcorn from Love, Peace, and Popcorn. Believe it or not, it was YUMMY and I ate the whole bag. Then we went to dinner at a restaurant called Celebration. Daddy used to go there all the time as a kid. Mom ate fried okra for the first time. I was in a great mood and had a lovely time.

We got to Houston on New Year's Eve, and all the "adults" went to dinner and had bananas foster. Wow, what a flame! Then everyone came home and hung out and wore silly hats. On New Year's day we opened Christmas presents, and uncle Larry set off fireworks! I was a little nervous about that, but we all made it out alive.

Here are a few shots of me and my cousins. All Mom wanted was one nice picture of all of us. But no one felt like cooperating. I love being goofy with my cousins!

In. The. Building. Giant. Slide.

I don't know how to fully explain where we went to dinner on Saturday night. To put it in actual words, is nearly impossible. Talk about "kid friendly!" So bear with me and grab a cup of coffee. This post is going to be a media blitz of photos and videos. I just think its the only way to fully explain it all. And remember, it all takes place in about 2 hours.

The Texans took us to a restaurant called The Trail Dust, and this place is known for its sirloin and for being so casual, that if you where a tie into the establishment, it gets cut off. So of course Daddy and uncle Addison HAD to wear ties. And they both ended up with them getting cut off.

The most amazing thing about this place was...wait for it...THEY HAVE A GIANT SLIDE IN THE BUILDING. In. The. Building. Giant. Slide. You're probably like me, and saying to yourself, "Henry, what exactly do you mean by giant slide? And in the building?" Get a load of this:

And check out Birthday Girl:

They also had a live band with a great dance floor. So I just had to BUST IT with Gammy and Daddy (I'm the little one in the black "cow hat"):

And then I just HAD to BUST IT one more time:

On a side note, I learned something about my cousin Jasper that night. Everyone thinks he's all cute, and sweet, and innocent. LIES! He's a french fry thief and I caught him red handed. Some people's kids.

The evening ended with saying "Hee Haw" for Annie's birthday and a cupcake. This was the greatest birthday day I have ever been apart of. And in case you're wondering we all slept until noon the next day:

So, besides more great food and saying goodbye to Jasper and Annie, that about rounds out my vacation. The airplane ride home was about as basic as can be, even better than the way down. We're heading back to TX in December, so I already to know all the hot spots I want to hit. Thank you so much to Gammy and Grampa Jack for letting us take over for a few days, and sorry, again, about the cabinet and the glasses. You know what I mean.

Love, HAJ

Texas Long Horns

On Saturday was my cousin Annie's 4th birthday! We had THE BEST day! She told me that she loves being four. The day started with Gammy and Grandpa Jack taking all of us kids to the Fort Worth Stockyards for the walking of the long horns. It was awesome. Annie and I got new cowgirl and cowboy (respectively) hats.

Then we all went to see Big Jake, and uncle Addison hopped right on. Then Mommy hopped on. She was so brave, but guess what happened...notice how Jake is rearing back here? He pooped right when Mom got on him, but she didn't seem to mind. Everyone poops.

Afterwards we headed to my favorite restaurant, The Buffalo Butt, where I like to ride on the saddle bar stools. See above photo. I like pretend like I'm a jockey while sitting on the saddle. I just lean down and hang on!

Wait until you see what we did for dinner that night! Oh, and be sure to check out Pumpkin Juice for more photos and recaps.

Weekend Wrap Up

If you know me, you know I love tractors. On the way to our vacation, Mom told me there was a tractor on the farm and that she thought I could probably ride it if I wanted too. Well, I yelled "YAY" as soon as I heard this news. I kept telling everyone that I was going to ride on the tractor. Well, when push came to shove, there was no way in h-e-double hockey sticks you were going to get me on that tractor. Patrick rode it, Lucy rode it, and Frannie rode it. But not me. I've dealt with it, and I'm OK with it...now.

I then decided to go swimming, because I knew I could excel at that. Maybe they are all expert tractor riders, but I can swim. When I say everyone went swimming, I mean everyone went swimming. After that we went back to running. We did a lot of running that weekend. And we did a lot of "Attack of Molly!" We collected a few bugs and then we found a frog! It was really gross and slimy, but I kind of liked it.

That about wraps up the weekend. I would like to send a special shout out to Mama and Papa McMahon for their hospitality and letting us wreck their home. We had such fun, and hopefully we can do it again next year!

Movers and shakers,
HAJ

Mini JUGGS Reunion

This weekend I spent some time country livin' with my cousins and friends. We had an amazing, fun filled weekend that I can't begin to explain in only one post. So, I will fill you in on our adventures this week. For now I leave you with this great photo...can't wait to look at this again when we're all teenagers.

Keep your shirt on,

Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger

Look at me, just hangin' with the guys. Eatin' cheeseburgers, beans, chips, and drinking a little ice cold beer milk. My cousin's came to see me on Sunday night, and we grilled up some burgers and sat around told a bunch of lies. Some of you may recognize Cute Cousin Kyle to the right, then there's Cute Cousin Jerid, and his Cute Friend Derek. The very elusive, Cute Cousin Casey was there too, but he showed up after the photo shoot. It was great to hang with the guys, and if I put up enough fuss, Mom doesn't make me sit in the high chair anymore either.

Waiting Is the Hardest Part

Today my cousins and I are in full on prep mode for the BIG MAN's visit tonight. Some of us a little more desperate than others. There has already been one "I'm sorry about yesterday" letter written to Santa this morning, along with a "last minute" letter when someone remembered they forgot to ask for a certain toy. We have cookies, milk, and a bag of hay for the reindeer sitting by the fireplace ready and WAITING! Oh the waiting...its TORTURE!

Happy Christmas Eve from Texas!
