Another Crazy Pair

This past weekend, the other set of "crazies" from Texas came to visit us: Annie and Jasper! We had the best weekend, and it was so sad to see them go. It was great to play with them all day long. We spent the days playing, and the evenings having movie night and eating popcorn. It was great too because Patrick came over everyday too! More on the weekend tomorrow!

Sleep Over and Bathroom Update

Cartoon breakfast! My pal Patrick got to stay over night with me last night! His mom and dad had to go out of town, so we were lucky enough to be able to have him stay at our house. Right now he's teaching me the joys and intricacies of Scooby Doo!

The bathroom remodel is trucking along, after a break last week. Our contractor, Cameron, had a brand new baby boy last week so he took the week off to enjoy the new addition to his family. This week has been a behind the scenes week. You know, one of those week where its electrical work and plumbing and it doesn't look like anything has happened but really, a lot of things have happened. For example, the tile has arrived. The sinks have arrived. Instead of one fan that doesn't work, we now have two fans that work. Mom got an outlet by her sink with 4-plugs now, and the hole has been cut for her new medicine cabinet. The shower and tub have all been "plumbed", whatever that is, and the drain has been moved on the shower floor so its centered in the space. So far we're loving all of it, and impressed with the progress!

Nothing great, nothing gross,

Fair Game

On Sunday Mom, Dad, me, Patrick, and his mom, Molly, went to the Hennepin County Fair! This was amazing, and Patrick and I had just the best time. I really like spending time with Patrick, he's a good dude. We did all kinds of things. Stuff our parents never thought we'd do!

We started out seeing the world's smallest horse, and trust me, this was one tiny pony. Then I headed over to the see the fire trucks. (You know me and steering wheels.) After I was dragged away from the big trucks, we went to the petting zoo. There were all kinds of animals in there, all of which I didn't pet. But we did get some feed and fed a few goats.

What's a trip to the fair without eating a little. So Dad and Molly decided to start with fresh squeezed lemonade. They each went to a different vendor and had a "Lemonade Off." Sounds like Daddy's won. By the way, when do you think Dippin' Dots will stop being the ice cream of the future? Then of course we got corn dogs, french fries, and mini donuts. The Mid-western lunch of champions. Although I think Mom, Dad, and Molly would've rather been here.

After we were fully full, Patrick and I went on a few rides. I can't believe I'm tall enough! We started out driving Jeeps, then flew around in a UFO, then down the giant slide, and back to the Jeeps. Of course the Jeeps were our favorite, and Patrick proved to be a very safe driver. The carousel was calling our name next. Then we got a little creeped out by a talking pig, but he was pretty cool. No day would be complete without a ride on a train. Choo choo! And then we finished off the day with a little 4-wheelin'!

I can't believe how much fun I'm having in my second year. Everyday is an adventure. Life is good!

PS - Shout out to my main man Jerrid! We shared a birthday on Saturday, but we weren't able to be together. Don't feel too bad for him, his lovely wife took him to Yankee Stadium. Why didn't I get to go? And when do I get to go fishing?

Is It Wrestle or Wrastle?

Remember a couple of weeks ago when Daddy was in Chicago, and Mom went to New Auntie's bachelorette party, and I got to hang out with Patrick? Well, the photos have finally emerged, and boy is there a tale to tell....

We sat down to watch a new episode of Thomas the Train. I was sitting there, minding my business, and Patrick kept saying, "I've seen this one; its a rerun!" And I was trying to tell him that it isn't a rerun, its a new episode. I was very excited about it because this episode was starring the train named Henry, and I was just shocked to see it. Well, apparently Patrick had enough of me, and then he did this! Can you believe it? Well, he might be 2 years older than me, but I can hold my own. Can anyone say, "Take Down, Two Points"!?

Play Hard, Live Hard

Patrick came over to my house yesterday to play, while our parents watched football. We were actually the good, quiet ones while the adults were all screaming and hopping around the living room. Something about Mom having Adrian Peterson on her fantasy team. Who knows?

Patrick and I played hard all day long and I got real thirsty. AND, the best part is we had matching outfits on. We were football players for the Bulldogs. Patrick pulled me all over the house on my bus, and then we played Fort with his mom. There's a clue of each person that was in our fort in this picture. I consider it a great day anytime I can spent it playing Fort.

I forgot to show you this piece of art I made at school the other day. Its decoration for Halloween. And I want to thank my pal Pat (Brady's Dad) for sending me this cool pin from when he went to the World Series a couple weeks ago. It's for the Hank Aaron award they gave out at the game that night. What a cool piece of memorabilia.

Giant Eye Balls

On Thursday night last week, we got to babysit Patrick so his mom and dad could go out to a fancy dinner. Mom tried and tried to get some nice pictures of us, but we were way too busy playing. One time Patrick tried to work with Mom, but there was no way I was gonna. I was just way too into chewing on the eyeballs that come from my giant stacking bricks set.

PS - Happy Birthday shout out to Brian! No one can believe you're only 28.

Blast From the Past

Mom is always spying on me and Dad. She's just got to know what's going on at all times. Sheesh. Can't a couple of guys get a little privacy?

Darlene, my teacher, let the cat out of the bag yesterday. I've been keeping a secret from Mom and Dad, but she spilled the beans. I've been standing up in my crib at school and shaking the bars! I only have done it at school and not at home, (that anyone knows about anyway. Again with the need for some privacy.)

I'm excited for school today too because my buddy Patrick is starting his first day there today too! I can't wait to hang out with him all the time!

One last thing, I want to put this video on my blog. Its an oldie but a goodie, and it isn't on any of my posts. It was before I figured that all out. So enjoy a little blast from the past.

Another cliche,
HAJ

PS - I want to send a shout out to the Pat and Kelly Fairbanks...Happy Anniversary kids! And they said it would last.....hmpf!

Laziness Runs In My Family

Sometimes its just easier this way. Hey, it was Friday night and I was tired from a long hard week of not crawling and screaming in the middle of the grocery store. These things are very tiring, you'd know this if you tried.

Today we're going to the flower shop and get some flowers for the house, and some tomato plants for Papa. Tonight we're going to my friend Patrick's house for a BBQ! His grandma is in town and we are going to hang out with her. Oh, I forgot to tell you too, that Patrick just interviewed at my school, and he's going to start going there to on June 6th! This is the best news I've heard in a long time. It will give me a chance to really get to know him better. He seems like a really cool guy and he has a lot to teach me about Thomas the Train.

See you later, alligator,

How Many Candles ARE There?

Happy 29th 35th Birthday Mama! The day is finally here! Dad and I woke her up with a cup of coffee and presents and cards! She was so excited. The day has been very busy so far. Mama and I went shopping for a new outfit for her, because well, its her birthday, and because she and Daddy are going out to dinner tonight! And she got new shoes too. Later, I get to go see me pal Patrick and hang out with him while the parentals are at dinner. See, Mom's birthdays are super fun for everyone.

If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would put U and I together,

HAJ

PS - Mama wanted me to send a shout out to Niki, Larry, Gina, Add, LC, Presley, Cody, Annie, and Japper...........Thank you for the beautiful flowers! I love them!!

Hi Mama!

This is a video of me and my Mama. Grandma took this at the restaurant when I saw her for the first time after their vacation! As you can tell, I was VERY excited to see her!

Last night was a blast! It rained all night, but we still grilled brats for everyone. I got to play with my buddy Patrick and we watched Thomas the Train. Patrick also was trying to teach me to crawl and walk. For the first time, I actually took a few steps while someone was holding my arms. I'm telling you, crawling is for the birds, walking is where its at. I'm going to run in fact, walking is too slow!

Tonight we're going to dinner with Brooke & Jared, a friend of Mom's from work, who is also Lini's niece! I can't wait to hear all the dirt on Lini and then I'm going to tell all the other kids at school.

Break a leg,

HAJ
